Lashing against window panes,
Hungry, vicious, with no mercy,
Roaring flames creeping up from hell,
Sorrow lurking smoked and blury.
Candle light of great intense,
Contrast against a soot soaked sky,
Holding hands people and debris fall,
Bystanders helpless just standing by.
With final breaths children scream,
Hitting the highest decibel.
Heaven greets the sweetest singers,
So far the number stands at twelve.
My prayers and thoughts go out to all effected in this mornings fire in the Grenfell Tower, North Kensington, London.
